Dr Adam Formby, York St John University (England) is an applied Sociologist with an interest in the sociology and social policy of youth. He works in several areas which include widening participation, education-to-work transitions, work and 'precarity', youth policy, youth justice and youth subcultures (i.e. memorialisation of video-games). When undertaking such interests, Adam also engages with a wide array of social research methodologies such as interviews, focus groups, auto-ethnographic methods, policy analysis, realist evaluation and quantitative methods. More recent work has evaluated Widening Participation initiatives in underrepresented communities across Yorkshire using realist evaluation frameworks whilst working with both 'Go Higher West Yorkshire' and 'NCOP York and Northshire'. Certainly, a notable publication of his was ‘Got a degree..now I'm in a Job Centre.'

Dr Sílvia  Mendes

        Camões

Dr Sílvia Mendes Camões is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the School of Economics and Management of University of Minho (Portugal) and an integrated Member of the Research Center in Political Science (CICP) of the same institution. As a researcher and professor, her work intersects within the areas of Public Administration, Public Policy and Political Behavior. Sílvia teaches about Political Process Theory, Political Evaluation, Administrative Theory and Research Methodology. She has published articles in Public Money and Management, the European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research, the British Journal of Political Science and the Policy Studies Journal.

William Melo

William Melo is a student in the PhD programme in Administration Sciences at the University of Minho (Portugal). Additionally, William is a trainer in the field of marketing and public service. Moreover, he is a contributor to the Centre for Research in Political Science (CICP) and acts as a consultant to organisations in the Brazilian local legislative branch of governance and administrative modernisation. Primarily, though, the scope of his research relates disability policy issues to the area of social movement studies.
